Getting ever closer to the release of 'Lady Gasoline', my next album.
I'm now at the stage where we're trying to finalise artwork ideas. This being a new-fangled digital age, I thought I'd throw it out to my little band of online followers for input.
Can you take a look at the below cover ideas and let me know which is your favourite? If you were coming to the music cold (i.e., if you'd never heard my stuff before), which would appeal to you the most?

option 3 or 4 mate basic and less messy

ReplyDeleteAs far as artwork goes, I like option #1. It puts the focus on you. If you want one with the band, go with #6. I don't like #3.

Don't pick number 3 because it's kinda boring.
If you pick number 2 , I think you should make the title bigger like number 4.

Like the others...I'll go with the 3 too, it look like gasoline and it's rocking :)
ReplyDeleteChris, I think 1)is a bit plain compaired to the others. 2)I love it! You look cool on the bike and the band are looking good. I would pick it up and buy it. 3) Like it - minimal and effective! 4)Band pics a bit blurry. You don't look as cool and comfortable on the bike in that one. 5) A bit overpowering with the size of the pics. But all pics in focus and good layout otherwise. 6) I hate it! I think there's too many angles in it for my liking in this one. Take care, Cheryl x

Hiya. I'm thinking 2) is good if a little to much going on, 3) definitely catches you eye, but is that because it's completely different from the rest?..mmmmmmmmmm. But I would have the background more of a cream colour and perhaps aged some how, don't know, torn, creased burned in the corner some thing to give it a vintage look/feel.

Number three, by quite some considerable distance. Although, if you have your heart set on the Grange Hill/pop art look, number six is the best. I like three though. Although the only ones I don't like are one and five.
